I am writing this letter as my two boys fight over something in the background. I never thought that sound could be so blissful. Thank you for your quick response and immensely capable staff on Max at the Beech Mountain Club Pool. I am happy to say that he is fine and as rambunctious as ever, even begging me the next day to take him back to the pool.
I'd read about the Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and attended some fundraisers. The level of experience was evident that day at the pool and I knew that Max was in good hands. I am also appreciative of all the logistics help with my other son Wolfgang and cars and all the other things that I didn't want to think about as I held my son.
Thanks to all for their help and I can honestly say that I hope I never see you again, well not the way I did this past Sunday. I hope to see all around Beech Mountain so I can shake their hands and say Tnak You!
Sincerely,
Kelly Melang

06, 2007 Members of the Fire Department., A quick note of gratitude
for those persons who facilitated the fire safety demonstration at the Buckeye
Recreation Center. All of you provided valuable infromation for saving lives
in a dangerous situation. The children expressed their enthusiasm and retention
of the knowledge through smiles, and demonstrations of their own versions of
STOP, DROP, and ROLL. Allowing the childeren to sit in the truck and beep the
horn was priceless. Thanks again for your time. We look forward to next year. Sincerely, Stacy Dunning February
23, 2006 Dear Mr. Brooks: My family and I were visiting
Beech Mountain and Boone, NC from Friday, February 17, 2006 until Wednesday,
February 22, 2006. I was walking up the drive way with my 8 month old son, Jackson.
I fell on the snow and ice. When I fell, I dropped Jackson and he hit his head.
He immediately starting screaming and so did I. We called 911 when we got
into the house. The first person to respond was Tim from your department. He
was at the house within just a few minutes. He was very professional and very
helpful in calming me down and with Jackson, too. It was great to know that
in the event of an emergency, we had people like your employees there to help
us. Again, thank you, to the
men who work with you, for a job well done!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Please accept this contribution
in honor of Renee Castiglione and the other EMS team that responded to our call. Thank you September
6, 2005 A very special thank you
to all the paramedics who worked so hard to revive my husband, Bud Murton. You all do a wonderful job
and are very caring. Thank you again, September
6, 2005 Dear Beech Mountain Fire
and Rescue Squad, We appreciate all the service
and kindness that you all gave to our brother-in-law, Bud Murton. Ellen is so
grateful that you were always there when she needed you. Please use this check in
any way needed to keep up your excellent service. Sincerely, To the members of the Beech
Mountain Volunteer Fire Department, Our family wants to express
our deepest thanks and appreciation for assisting our mother Patricia this past
Saturday. She had suffered a major stroke and passed away peacefully early this
Tuesday morning. We feel that it was due
to your expedient and professional response that allowed her to remain with
us long enough for her 3 children to be with her and send her on her journey. Please share this photo
of her with those that have met her. This was taken last year at Scott's house
planting daylilies. Please note the jacket she wears, since it shows how very
fond of this community and the services that are provided, and how proud she
was of Scott's participation in the Fire Department. With that, please accept
this donation on her behalf since she will know that this may help in obtaining
the tools you need to provide such a valuable service. Thanks to each and every
one of you,
To all of you who answered
our call for help on March 12. Thank you. There are no words to tell
you how grateful we are. We will never worry again about being up here on this
beautiful mountain, for help is only a phone call away. The speed of your arrival
and your quick assessment of mother's problem saved her life, of this we are
sure. God bless and keep everyone of you safely in His care. Paul and Charlotte Jones

Thank you to Beech emergency team Editor: On
March 16, retired Command Sergeant Major Harold L. Deal collapsed in his home.
The rapid response from the Beech Mountain emergency team was outstanding. The
Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department arrived within seconds, swiftly shoveled
snow and shifted furniture around to get CSM Deal safely to the ambulance. The
police department blocked intersections and allowed us to travel down the mountain
to Cannon Memorial Hospital in no time. The
cooperation, dedication and compassion of the Beech Mountain emergency response
team is truly a top-notched operation. They appeared as if a team of angels
had come to my rescue. Their hard work is truly appreciated. I
am very honored to reside in a town with the best emergency response. Many
thank you's from the family of Harold Deal.

2004 Thanks for "saving
my life" in my opinion. Winter
2003 To Whom It May Concern: I want to thank an EMT named
"Pete". I went sledding on a two person sled. I didn't see a telephone
pole coming my way. I hit it in the temple and got knocked out. Pete got there
a few minutes later and made sure I was all right. I have a huge scar on my
face but otherwise I am all right. I don't want any other kids to have an accident
like that. From, P.S. My mom took me to have
a cat scan of my orbit (I didn't even fracture that!)

He was wonderful and did a great job. I do not remember the names of the other
men who were with Tim but they were all very friendly and helpful also. We appreciate
all that Tim and the other guys did for our family.

The Bradden's vacationed on Beech Mountain from England. Sudden sickness, exacerbated
by Hurricane Ivan's pressure drop, resulted in excruciating pain and nausea.
The main road to our town was washed out and our weather was not acceptable
for helicopter flight. Our quick thinking fire department medical crew delivered
the patient to the washout and transferred her to a waiting ambulance via four-wheel
drive thru a neighbor's yard below the "wash out" . This saved over
20 miles of extra driving and quickly delivered her to our local hospital.
